Our client, Ringway, a trusted provider of highways services to the public sector, is seeking a Scheduler to join their team in Guildford.
As a Scheduler, you will play a central part in organising resources, guiding workflows, and ensuring that service requests are handled smoothly and efficiently. Working in a fast paced, real time environment, you will collaborate with colleagues and partners to make sure every response is timely, well managed, and customer focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the allocation of resources to live service requests in a timely and organised way
- Monitor incoming tasks and ensure they are directed to the right teams or channels
- Support operational leads with day to day scheduling across multiple workstreams
- Maintain accurate updates across systems to reflect real time activity
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders
- Help ensure service delivery meets agreed performance standards and targets
- Track progress of ongoing jobs and follow up where needed to keep work on track
- Provide consistent, high quality support across both routine and urgent activities
- Contribute to smooth running of seasonal or priority operations such as winter service
- Look for ways to improve scheduling processes and overall service delivery
Essential Skills and Requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence in communicating with a range of people and teams
- Experience in a customer focused or coordination based role
- Ability to stay calm and focused when working under pressure
- Good IT skills and confidence using databases or scheduling systems
- Attention to detail with accurate data entry and record keeping
- A proactive approach to problem solving and task management
- Ability to follow processes while adapting to changing situations
- A collaborative mindset with a positive, team focused approach
- An interest in delivering high quality service and improving outcomes
